The temperature is hitting 37 degrees Celcius here today, which is expected to continue over the next few days - yuck! Luckily, quite a busy day here to distract us - and a slice of Gossip Girl escapism over lunch with my sister Steph - although watching Manhattan's elite walking around in tailored jackets and scarfs makes me pine for winter.
We're off to see Justin Vernon (aka Bon Iver) tonight at the Forum, which is set to be quite the magical experience, even amid this heat. Ironically, "Bon Iver" is an Anglicization of the French "bon hiver" (good winter). A nice sentiment in the middle of an Australian summer.
